Mr Luciano ANDRIAMARO

Director of Science and Knowledge, Conservation International

Luciano Andriamaro is the Director of Science and Knowledge at Conservation International (CI) Madagascar. A specialist in freshwater snails, she is particularly in charge of freshwater and wetlands sites and supervises the CI marine protected area. She has supported several promoters in the establishment of Wetland Protected Areas and Ramsar sites in Madagascar and she is the national STRP (Scientific and Technical Review Panel) of Ramsar Convention. She is also among the IPBES (Intergovernmental Platform for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services) Expert on Nexus Biodiversity-Climate-Water-Food-Energy-Health and scientific committee members of GDN (Global Development Network/ Biodiversity and Development Award). She is about 20 years of experiences in biodiversity conservation and environmental works.
